Whether for yourself or as a birthday gift for a friend or for Mother's Day (which is on May 14th, just saying) this homemade body scrub is an absolute dream. I myself have been using it for the past couple of weeks, and I love it!!

Besides exfoliating and oiling your skin, this body scrub combines the delicious scents of chocolate, vanilla and coffee, and basically makes you smell like a cup of warm chocolate mocha.

Made from all natural ingredients, easy to make and great for your skin!

Ingredients

1 cup granulated white or brown sugar
1/3 cup coarse sea salt
1/4 cup organic coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup organic almond oil
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp ground coffee
1 tsp liquid vanilla essence (or vanilla essential oil)

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a bowl – and enjoy the lovely smell of chocolate, coffee and vanilla :) If you like, you could also experiment with adding some essential oils to the mixture, such as sweet orange or cinnamon.

Store in an air tight container, for example a small mason jar or an empty and clean jam jar like I did.

Use 1 tablespoon in the shower. Scrub skin with the mixture and rinse well. It will leave your skin feeling like silk and smelling like a cup of sweet mocha!

Bonus: The caffeine from the coffee grounds is often used in beauty products to prevent or reduce cellulite. Rub the scrub onto any problem area to stimulate blood flow resulting in smoother, firmer skin!
